Last day. Food day

In our last day at school, the school was participating in the macmillian morning coffee and collecting money for a cancer cause. We also hepled the children in making traditional lebanese food and ended up having aparty in the playground. .. topped with a couple of a surprise birthday cakes.

During an assembly

During our stay we had an assembly were we dressed the famous puppets with old lebanese traditional clothes and explained a little bit about them.
As an apparition of what both our schools are doing a plaque was presented to be
displayed at Lea school that represents the dedication and determination that have been present in our joined efforts. ..

A day at Lea

We spent the day with the small ones. it was quite interesting watching strategies followed for large number of students and especially with those who's level is lower than the others.  Moreover, We had Time to interview Mr. Cook's last year's students about how the connection with our school helped in changing them and what new things did they learn.

Schools visits

We Had a chance today to visit few public schools. They  were interested in having partners in lebanon. What we were looking for , we found it in st. George's school.  The level and type of their students were very similar to ours. Especially with the problems they have. It was ,as I have put it earlier in a conversation, (quite an eye opener) seeing how the school is working with kids with so many problems.  Kudus for them. In my point of view, They are... miracle workers

First day at school

So we started the day early.
Students from class C last year moved on to year 5 . They are class D now. They were really excited to have me again with them. Tomorrow I will be interviewing them and see how the british council's C.C.P and the ISA changed their perspective.
We had time to check the other classes . It is always interesting to see new ideas and approaches and try to figure out the best way to implement them. My school's head teacher Mrs EDELBE and I had a good promising discussion on all the things that we have seen today and the differences between public schools in Beirut and Lincoln. We have managed from our last visit to take a good leap and we are quite optimistic of the level that we can reach with our students.
